Damien’s musical career has earned him credit as a creative and exciting musician and singer. His banjo playing has given him a reputation as one of the finest Irish players on the scene today, he is also a noted singer focusing on songs from his native Northern Ireland.

Fresh from touring with Kate Rusby he his probably best known for his work with Shona Kipling and Flook.  He is fast becoming know as one of the finest singers on the British acoustic music scene.

Damien is due to release his first solo album “Summer Hill” on 29th March 2010, working with musicians such as Ian Carr, Dave Kosky, John Joe Kelly and Michael McGoldrick. The album will contain songs from Northern Ireland and further a-field as well as self composed instrumentals delivered with unique O’Kane humour, flare and panache.

He is also releasing a second – instrumental album with guitarist David Kosky in January 2010.
Damien and Dave are planning to tour from November 2009 on into 2010 to support these releases.
